Resumen : Practinomic es una empresa ecuatoriana que se dedica al diseño, fabricación e instalación de muebles modulares y sus locales se encuentran distribuidos en el Valle de los Chillos...
Descripción : Practinomic is a modular furniture designer, manufacturer and installing enterprise, located around Valle de los Chillos. The company considers as its main goal man aging supply chain and operations, from suppliers to customers, and using backward integration, depending on the cross firm information flow and products offering. The goal of supply chain management is to improve efficiency and cost savings by using the exact quantities of raw materials during the lead time, which should ensure cost - effective high quality, lead to exceed customer's expectations and build strategic and strong long Term relationships with suppliers. The present work aims to design a supply chain management of a company dedicated to the production of modular furniture, which main raw material is agglomerate wood. The supply chain design is based on the SCOR model (Supply Chain Operation References) that first evaluates the type of product with the intention to know whether the product has characteristics of a functional product or an innovator product, and therefore to know if the supply chain leads to efficient processes or market. To analyze the 2016 annual furniture demand different forecast models will be used, to estimate the projected demand for the next 3 years. A study of two most representative product types of the company will be made, from which the current costs of supply and production stages will be calculated, and so it will be confronted with the cost reduction that could be achieved with the application of supply chain processes, and therefore to be able and obtain a competitive cost of production Compared to the other companies in the market. An evaluation of the raw supplier materials will be made before it is will be used to manufacture any modular furniture, based on five important criteria considered by the enterprise. The inventory is analyzed for each one of furniture types and each raw material is included during the process, using the modified EOQ model, which has the characteristic to consider the supplier lead time, and adapt it until found a respective reorder point to know the minimum inventory level, before placing a production order. Finally an economic analysis about the profit that could be obtained through the application of the concepts of the supply chain management is performed and it is evaluated under two different scenarios, an optimistic and a pessimistic one. In the optimistic background scenario the production is equal to the projected demand and the cost reduction is achieved. The pessimistic one works with the current demand and no costreductionis reached.Once this analysis is done, allthe data of NPV, TIR and the cost benefit relation are calculated to evaluate theproject.
