Resumen : | Antecedentes: La Tendinopatía rotuliana es una de las patologías más frecuentes en deportistas, por la sobreactividad del tendón rotuliano, provocando desorganización de las fibras de colágeno y degeneración de células tendinosas… |
Descripción : | Background: Patellar tendinopathy is one of the most common diseases in athletes, the overactivity of the patellar tendon, causing disruption of the collagen fibers and degeneration of tendon cells. Its characteristic symptom is pain in the lower pole of the patella and loss of functionality. Objective: Analyze the effectiveness of eccentric exercises vs electrostimulation co-contraction in patients with patellar tendinopathy. Materials and methods: In this study, ten athletes were recruited men between 18 and 23 years of age with medical diagnosis of patellar tendinopathy. The athletes were randomly divided into two groups of five subjects each. In group A control group or a conventional physical therapy was applied by adding eccentric exercise, while in group B the same conventional treatment was performed with increasing electrostimulation co-contraction during eccentric muscle exercises for the quadriceps. Treatment was applied in 6 weeks of the experimental phase at a rate of 3 sessions per week with duration of 50 minutes. Study variables that were assessed at the beginning and end of the experimental phase, such as: 1) pain, 2) muscle perimeters… ver archive adjunto |
