Objective: To compare the effectiveness of manual techniques such as Clapping and vibration-compression in pediatric CF patients. Materials and methods: This study was made with 12 patients, divided into two groups (6 patients were in the percussion group, and the other 6 patients were in the vibration-compression group, their ages were between 4 and 14 years old), diagnosed with CF. To select the patients the scale of Schwachman-Kulczicky was used, this scales classifies patients according to the severity of their health, this can be mild, moderate, serious, severe. In this study, patients moderate compromise were used. The parameters that were used are oxygen saturation, heart rate (bpm), respiratory rate (rpm) and the amount of sputum removed (ml). These measurements were performed before and after the application of the techniques in their corresponding group. It is worth mentioning that for the accomplishment of this study the medication of bronchodilators, antibiotics, digestive enzymes and nutritional supplements used by the patients was not modified, therefore, the participants of the study continued with their respective medical treatment… ver archivo adjunto
