Descripción : | This research analyzes how the technological appropriation process enhances socio-communicative functions in the neighborhood-type community, regarding to the visibility of local initiatives, cultural-identity strengthening and the redefinition of urban space; particulary with the communicative and technological experience of “Meeting of Art and Community Al zur-ich” and its project “REVITA 1: Vista Hermosa de las Antenas Community House” carried out in a southern Quito neighborhood in the year 2015. In this way it approaches the technological appropriation experience from the perspective of the communicative processes for social change and the alternative and counterhegemonic proposal of the network communication. Starting from there to the context of hybrid cities. In addition, its methodological design is supported by qualitative approach, interview technique and the application of the software ATLAS.ti for the analysis and classification of the data. In the cases presented, ICT facilitated the construction of enriched multimedia narratives, generating new perceptions, readings, descriptions and meanings in relation to neighborhood actors, their proposals, their socio-cultural and identity processes and the urban spaces they inhabit, rehabilitating their local stories, authorships and the diversity of their presences and voices. This work stimulates the reflection on the ICT contribution in hybrid neighborhood experiences traversed by local art and by the social innovation community processes that their actors develop when they self-organize. |
