The control of the mosquito vector Aedes aegypti remains as the most efficient method to protect humans from the viruses it transmits (Zika, chikungunya, Dengue, yellow fever and malaria) of which the mosquito is a vector. Aedes aegypti mosquitoes from 6 localities (Huaquillas, Arenillas, Machala, Pasaje, Santa Rosa and El Guabo) from the province of El Oro Ecuador were evaluated. This study was carried out taking into account the guidelines of the CDC for the part that corresponded to the bioassays also specific primers were used based on the studies realized in Latino America. The objective of this work was to identify and verify the presence or absence of the Phe1534Cys mutation and the Val1016Ile mutation in the populations analyzed. To do this, F2 was obtained from the mosquitoes captured in the field from each of the localities. Bioassays were then carried out with a concentration of 10 ppm of deltamethrin diluted in absolute ethanol, the mosquitoes that were considered alive were stored in 70% ethanol and only 12 mosquitoes were selected for each of the localities, for further to be evaluated molecularly (ADN extraction and amplification of the mutant region) as result of this analysis we were able to determined that the mutations where present in the localities which were studied. We obtained a 98% of presence for Val1016Ile mutation and 96% for Phe1534Cys mutation.en
