Descripción : In order to compensate the hyperconcentration of the urban functions of the Metropolitan District of Quito, a new centrality was developed within the Project Workshop VI in “Los Chillos” Valley. The territory currently divided in two diferent administrations (“Los Chillos” Zonal Administration / Municipality of Rumiñahui) was unified and circuits generated by existent urban facilities were strengthened characterizing according to them urban sections with different vocations. In the proposed agricultural-productive section, outside the limits of the flood-affected zone of the Cotopaxi volcano, an urban platform was propound which, among other urban facilities, includes a Retail Market (Titling Proyect) with the aim to recuperate the agricultural memory of the sector. Considering that the volumetric composition of a market is facilities must be the result obtained from the relation between the necessary spaces identified in the architectural program and the type of circulation that allows the dialogue between them, a market-park is proposed that is implanted in the terrain without competing with the landscape, allowing all the social and commercial areas to have access to the outdoor space with continuous and differentiated routes that support the development of the user is activities.
