| dc.description | The main purpose of this graduation project is to describe all the work done to record and produce the single “Patada Voladora” by the band Mr. Zoom, a funk rock single that was written and composed by the members of the band. Several structural changes were made to the single during the pre-production stage and it was decided to include other instruments to achieve a more commercial product that highlight the characteristics of the genre. This way the band could have their first promotional material. The instruments were individually recorded in different sessions to facilitate the editing and mixing processes, which were performed using the tools and methods learned in the career. | dc.description.abstract | En el presente proyecto de titulación se describe todo el trabajo realizado para la grabación y producción del tema “Patada Voladora” de la banda quiteña Mr. Zoom, un tema funk rock compuesto y escrito por los mismos integrantes de la banda. Durante la etapa de preproducción, se realizaron varios cambios estructurales al tema inicial y se decidió añadir nuevos instrumentos para lograr un producto más comercial que resaltara las características del género. De esta manera, la banda podría tener su primer material promocional. Se grabaron los instrumentos individualmente en distintas sesiones, para así facilitar el proceso de edición y mezcla, los cuales se realizaron con base en las herramientas y los métodos que se aprendieron a lo largo de la carrera.
