dc.description | Work aimed at research on the prevalence of zoonotic parasites in a indigenous community San Bartolome of Romerillos, San Juan of Pastocalle, Latacunga canton, Cotopaxi province. Together with authorities and community volunteers selected 11 families, 10 percent of the population, to collaborate with the study, two meetings were made to reported the importance of the study. One meeting took about the study and the other took about nutrition and hygiene. Faecal samples were collected by the heads of family at home both relatives of animals, be them commit the necessary bottles. Samples were processed by two methods: the method waterline at solution of sugar and sedimentation method formol-ether for best results. Those parasites that affect the community, the human population and the animal population were looking for. We did not find zoonotic parasites in people but animals possess a significant amount of intestinal parasites that can affect humans were discovered. | en |
dc.description.abstract | Trabajo dirigido a la investigación de la prevalencia de parásitos zoonósicos en la comunidad indígena San Bartolomé de Romerillos, en San Juan de Pastocalle, cantón Latacunga, Provincia del Cotopaxi. Conjuntamente con autoridades y voluntarios de la comunidad se seleccionó a 11 familias, el 10 porciento de la población, para colaborar con el estudio, para ello se realizó dos reuniones previas en las que se comunicó la importancia del estudio atreves de dos charlas. Una sobre el estudio a realizar y otra sobre nutrición e higiene. Las muestras fecales fueron recogida por los jefes de familia en sus casas tanto sus familiares como de los animales, se les entregó los frascos necesarios. Las muestras se procesaron por el método de flotación en solución sobresaturada de azúcar y por el método de sedimentación formol- éter a fin de obtener mejores resultados. | es_ES |
