| Descripción : | The experience of listening to music is something that expands the fields of reality; sometimes these fields are intertwined and sometimes fade to total silence. The production of an experimental music theme using binaural recording technique was a process of understanding art as much as the genre itself, from the beginning the idea of a binaural production offered much expectation in the project and along the same was clear that there is a lot to explore in the field of 360 degrees recordings. Recorded spaces might complete somehow the music jorney experience; so that is how the desire to investigate the binaurally and the sound experimentation appears. This paper details the process of the whole production of the song “BINA-URRAL” by APOFENIAS band, separated into three big chapters: Pre-production, Production and Post-production. All recordings were made at the facilities of Universidad de las Américas, at its campus in Quito. |
