| Descripción : | The overwhelming adoption of the new Constitution in 2008, at the same time responds to a political campaign which had strong backing from the major national political figure - President Correa - was also due to the incorporation of new legal rights to the national legislation. In the text, direct democracy is deepened with the improvement of the figure of the recall of all elected officials. The present research analyzes in detail the historical, legal, political and social elements that came together over the years for the various constitutions of the world defining the recall as a fundamental right of the citizenship. At the same time, this research makes a study of the national legislation that sets a series of regulations to recall the mandate, and also pretends to build an outline of principles which according to the Constitution and the doctrine should regulate this constitutional figure. |
