Education is one of the most important foundations for the human being and the society, and the significance for this fact not to be interrupted for any obstacle and for being kept from its objective is crucial, and as several foreign studies suggest, classrooms with acoustic parameters in optimal conditions lead to a significant improvement of the cognitive development, because of the most useful and efficient mean of communication that people have: the speech. Despite all of this, consideration of acoustic elements that may cause better understanding and learning in students are not considered in the construction or design for places alike, and as a result, meaningful damage difficult to identify is caused in the learning phase of students. This is the reason for making this research, in which the most representative acoustic facts inside high schools such as Reverberation Time, Speech Intelligibility and Background Noise, will be evaluated, also, a subjective parameter such as noise generated disturbance will be analyzed as a doseresponse. The before mentioned parameters were measured in Distrito Metropolitano de Quito (Ecuador) established high schools, giving a general perspective of the actual situation of the total population through inferential statistic processes. The conclusions of the results obtained through acoustic quality parameters, suggest that the measured classrooms do not satisfy the needed standards for an optimal teacher-student interaction, because the resulting values and ranks in each case walk away from the recommended. Also, the noise disturbance valuation study shows how dependent or independent the variables of acoustic disturbance are, and the way they interact between each other.en
