Descripción : Endothelium dysfunction is characterized by the abnormal expression of inflammatory genes shown in chronic pathologies like sepsis. Data indicated that Triptolide from Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F reduces the expression of inflammatory markers inhibiting TLR-4 signaling in immune cells. This study determined the effect of Triptolide on the expression of inflammatory related genes (IL-1β, IL-6, TFN-α, iNOs), nuclear factor HIF-1α, and the fenotipic expression of adhesion molecules ICAM-I and P-selecting in HUVEC treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Gene expression was measured with RT-qPCR while ICAM-I and P-selectin expression was measured by flow-cytometry.
