| dc.description | The present study is a qualitative research whose main objective is to identify the changes that occur after bariatric surgery in the family, from the perspective of the patient; for which I made a focus group of four participants and seven semi/structured interviews in which the results of the changes in family relationships were obtained, considering that in the data obtained they describe significant changes in the relationship as in the relationship with the children; this in a period of six months to a year after the surgery, when the physical and psychological symptoms of obesity have diminished or have been eliminated. When obtaining these results, it is necessary to specify the importance of involving the family in the treatment of bariatric surgery, especially from the psychological area, considering that the family also undergoes changes before surgery for obesity. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio es una investigación cualitativa que tiene como objetivo principal identificar los cambios que se presentan tras la cirugía bariátrica en la familia, desde la perspectiva del paciente; para lo cual realicé un grupo focal de cuatro participantes y siete entrevistas semi estructuradas en donde se obtuvo como resultados la presencia de cambios en las relaciones familiares, considerando que en los datos obtenidos describen cambios significativos en la relación de pareja como en la relación con los hijos; esto en un período de seis meses a un año después de realizada la cirugía, cuando los síntomas físicos y psicológicos de la obesidad han disminuido o se han eliminado. Al obtener estos resultados es necesario precisar la importancia que tiene involucrar a la familia en el tratamiento de cirugía bariátrica, especialmente desde el área psicológica, considerando que también la familia sufre cambios ante la intervención quirúrgica para la obesidad. | es_ES |
