| dc.description | The innovation of the biosafety protocol in the operating room area of the Fundación Doctor Oswaldo Loor Moreira aims to strengthen the safety and quality of surgical care, through the review of scientific literature, comparison with international best practices and identification of opportunities for innovation. Changes in the daily routine of the operating room were observed, such as; greater focus on disinfection and cleaning, rigorous use of personal protective equipment PPE and an improvement in the practice of hygiene and safety in the operating room, contributing to minimize the risk of infections and ensure a safer environment for both patients and health personnel. The study was evidenced through interviews and surveys. The study was evidenced through interviews and surveys. Interviews were conducted with the health person, where the importance of continuous training and innovation of protocols to adapt them to the latest international guidelines and to the particularities of ophthalmologic surgery was highlighted. The importance of establishing a system of continuous monitoring and evaluation of the protocols to identify opportunities for improvement and guarantee their effectiveness over time was highlighted. The survey applied after the application of the innovated protocol evaluated the level of compliance and perception, it is highlighted that most health personnel reported a decrease in the risk of nosocomial infections and an improvement in operational efficiency after the innovation of the protocol, it is mentioned that less than half of the patients 34.2 percent reported having received clear information about the additional biosafety measures implemented before their surgical procedures, an additional 43.8 percent of the patients indicated that they were not clearly informed, and the remaining 21.9 percent did not remember if they had received any information about the additional biosafety measures implemented before their surgical procedures. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La innovación del protocolo de bioseguridad en el área de quirófano de la Fundación Doctor Oswaldo Loor Moreira tiene como finalidad de fortalecer la seguridad y calidad de atención quirúrgica, por medio de la revisión de la literatura científica, la comparación con las mejores prácticas internacionales y la identificación de oportunidades para la innovación. El estudio se evidencio a través de entrevistas y encuestas. Las entrevistas realizadas a la persona de salud, donde se destacó la importancia de la capacitación continua y la innovación de protocolos para adaptarlos a las últimas directrices internacionales y a las particularidades de la cirugía oftalmológica. Se resalto la importancia de establecer un sistema de monitoreo y evaluación continua de los protocolos para identificar oportunidades de mejora y garantizar su efectividad a lo largo del tiempo. La encuesta aplicada posterior a la aplicación del protocolo innovado evaluó el nivel de cumplimiento y la percepción, se destaca que la mayoría del personal de salud reportó una disminución en el riesgo de infecciones nosocomiales y una mejora en la eficacia operativa tras la innovación del protocolo, se menciona que menos de la mitad de los pacientes 34.2 por ciento informó haber recibido información clara sobre las medidas adicionales de bioseguridad implementadas antes de sus procedimientos quirúrgicos, adicional un 43.8 por ciento de los pacientes indicó que no fueron informados claramente, y el 21.9 por ciento5 restante no recuerda si recibir esta información. | es_ES |
