| dc.description | The research work focuses on identifying and correcting the factors that negatively affect the response times of the ambulances in charge of the prehospital care of medical emergencies at the Hospital of the South. The objective is to achieve an optimal response time of 15 minutes maximum, from the activation of the personnel until arriving at the scene where attention is needed. The problem of a negative image that has spread among the population due to delays in care and responses by the local negative emergency and emergency regulatory center is addressed. This negative image can discourage people from using the prehospital care service appropriately, which can worsen the situation of patients and affect their recovery. At the Hospital South of Quito IESS, there are three ambulances and a team of twenty professional paramedics who perform various functions, including prehospital care, secondary transportation, management of statistics, radio communications, and hospital triage. The main objective of the research is to improve the quality and warmth of the prehospital care service for medical emergencies for the population in emergency situations, regardless of which public health network they belong to. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo investigativo está enfocado en analizar los factores que inciden en el tiempo de respuesta a emergencias médicas prehospitalarias de la ambulancia anclada al Hospital del Sur de Quito. El objetivo es lograr un tiempo de respuesta óptimo de 15 minutos máximo, desde la activación del personal hasta llegar a la escena donde se necesita atención. Se aborda el problema de una imagen negativa que se ha difundido entre la población debido a demoras en la atención y respuestas negativas por parte del centro regulador de emergencias y urgencias local. Esta imagen negativa puede disuadir a las personas de utilizar el servicio de atención prehospitalaria de manera adecuada, lo que podría complicar aún más la afección de los pacientes y afectar su recuperación. En el Hospital Sur de Quito IESS, se cuentan con tres ambulancias y un equipo de veinte paramédicos profesionales que desempeñan diversas funciones, incluyendo atención prehospitalaria, transporte secundario, manejo de estadísticas, radiocomunicaciones y triage hospitalario. Su objetivo principal es mejorar la calidad y calidez del servicio de atención prehospitalaria de emergencias médicas para la población en situación de emergencia, sin importar a qué red pública de salud pertenezcan. | es_ES |
