Descripción : Around the world, health organizations and the governments of each country are working to curb the increase in cases of childhood overweight and obesity. This disease is a public health problem that requires the coordination of actions from different strategic sectors to help the population. On the other hand, the COVID 19 pandemic caused millions of people to remain in confinement to safeguard their lives, but this resulted in a dramatic increase in cases of overweight and obesity. When health care was resumed in the doctor´s office, overweight and obesity was identified as the fourth reason for consultation. To combat this disease and join efforts with the work carried out by the government, a preventive medicine plan for childhood overweight and obesity has been developed at the medical office; this activity revealed the strengths and weaknesses of the health entity and, of course, demanded some changes and restructuring at the infrastructure, organizational and financial levels. For the present project, a mixed methodology was applied, through which it was concluded that the highest percentage of sick people are children and that the ages from 2 to 5 years old are the most affected. Through interviews with parents, it was identified that poor eating habits and lack of physical activity influenced their children´s weight gain. Also, they would like the clinic to have specialists in nutrition and psychology who, together with the doctor, closely monitor the evolution and treatment of the patients. The plan is made up of seven activities and measurement indicators, focused on the scenarios identified as valuable points that will serve to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the patient. It is proposed to finance the adaptation of two offices for nutrition and dentistry services, a workshop and conference room, as well as more human resources to give educational talks and promote lifestyle changes. The marketing area needs to be strengthened as a means of advertising the practice and positioning it in the market, but also as a way to share informative and educational post. The follow up of the fulfillment of the proposed five-year goals will be carried out periodically until the estimated percentage per year is reached.
