Descripción : The present work aims to determine the feasibility for the import of boba popping from Brazil for the elaboration and commercialization in the city of Quito of a tapioca drink for children between 4 to 10 years. In order to know the market, the respective PESTEL, Porter and an EFE matrix analysis is carried out to know more deeply about political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental factors of the countries of Ecuador and Brazil. The industry is analyzed in order to find suitable strategies and the market accepts the product. The market, the buyer (mothers and fathers) and the consumer (children between 4 to 10 years old) are analyzed to see if the needs they have are completely covered with respect to healthy eating. For this, surveys and a Focus Group are conducted on people within the target segment and it is concluded that the presentation of the tapioca-based beverage will be 250ml at a price of 1.75 dollars given that, the target market knows about the good nutrition children need and have the resources to acquire it. The manufacturing of this product will be done through a maquila service at Quala Ecuador S.A. and obtaining machinery for product packaging; The financing will be done in two parts, the shareholder (70 percent) and a bank loan (30 percent). Finally, the financial analysis is carried out and VAN is projected you have positive values and IRR projects percentages higher than the discount rate. This means that the business plan of a drink based on tapioca and popping boba is feasible.
