Resumen : | OBJETIVO: Determinar los factores asociados al aumento de los triglicéridos en personas con IMC normal… |
Descripción : | OBJECTIVE: To determinate the factors associated with increased tryglicerides in people with normal BMI. MATERIALS AND METHODS: From the simple of pacients with HTG with normal BMI was obtained from the La Magdalena Health Center in the Metropolitan District of Quito- Ecuador, in the medical records corresponding to the period from 1 January to 31 August, 2019 depending on the objetives, variables and the introduction and exception opinions. The statistical program STATA 14.0 was then used for data analysis Chi2 test was performed to determine the association between HTG, associated factors and normal BMI. A regressive was subsequently performed to determine the odds ratio (OR). RESULTS: Two hundred and seven people have hipetriglyceridemia (29 percent), one hundred and twenty-five people had high HDL Cholesterol (17.68 percent). The Chi2 test indicated that there is no significant association between hypertriglyceridemia and normal body mass index (p=0.644), gender (p=o.644), gender (p = 0.133), tobacco (p = 0.735), diet (p = 0.075), however, determined that there is a significant association whit age, occupation, physical activity, frequency, duration, HT, stress, HDL and LDL cholesterol (p=0.001). However, in the multivariate model, variables with a higher significant risk factor were found being these age-adult (CI = 2,386-10,297; p = 0.001), HT (IC = 1,529-4,177; p = 0.001), stress (CI = 1,151-3,067; p = 0.012), HDL cholesterol high (IC = 4.303-24.166; p = 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: The prevalence of hypertrygliceridemia in people with a normal body mass index (29 percent). The factors were HDL (high) cholesterol, age (adults), HT, stress.
