Descripción : Theater and cinema have influenced each other over time. Realism is one of the great influences, a crucial movement for both arts that creates the illusion of representing the real world. But later, this movement was challenged by Bertolt Brecht who established the "alienation effect". Consequently, one of the fundamental elements of realism, the fourth wall, it is broken by critical distancing. Then these elements are analyzed in the films of Lars Von Trier and Michael Haneke. The objective of this analysis in to find support for the development of the short, Insania (Guarnizo,2020), which seeks to activate the viewer's reflection against the images of the media during the pandemic.
