Descripción : This degree project includes the proposal of a series of improvement actions, through methodologies, tools, and mathematical models, to strengthen the logistics system, with the aim of increasing the service level of the textile microenterprise Frante Estudio de Diseño. It begins with the diagnosis of the company’s current situation focused on gathering information through Porter’s five forces model, and determining the weak points structured by a problem tree where the what, why, where, when and how of the problem is defined. Followed by root-cause analysis (RCA) by means of the application of robust tools such as brainstorming, fishbone diagram, five-why technique and gravity urgency trend matrix, defining the main causes of the identified problem, in order to attack the source through corrective actions to ensure that they do not recur. Later, the improvement proposals are raised with the systematic model of business management, delimiting the tenders according to their horizons at the different levels: strategic, tactical, and operational. For the first level, the market segmentation strategy is drawn up based on its different needs, to satisfy them with a differentiation advantage; in the second stage, the supply chain is configured for each category established above with a customer’s order decoupling point, where the manufacturing systems are linked under demand forecasting (MTS), with the manufacturing methods of a whole (MTO) or assembly (ATO), under order; and, for the operational phase, three plans are developed: i) demand projection, ii) master production schedule (MPS), and iii) materials requirements planning (MRP), based on the guidelines of the superior levels. Finally, the benefits are quantified in the operational and economic sphere of the organization. Obtaining substantial improvements in the service level of 10.89 points reflecting a value of 92.55 percent; potential income from unused capacity and a demand to be captured of 22,417.23 USD annually; and, an economic saving in inventory management costs of 19.15 percent evaluated in 1,086.83 per year.
