| Descripción : | The present work was made with the object of knowing the quality of life that rehabilitated patients with implants have, in Universidad de las Americas by the Medical specialization of Oral Rehabilitation students from the 2017-2019 period, using the survey OHIP-14sp in a group of 103 patients. As the usage of medical records and complementary exams is indispensable in every patient, this tools should be used as the OHIP-14sp, which will provide us information about the social and psychological state of each patient at the ending of their treatment. The less amount of replaced dental pieces, the better life quality the patient will have; while, the more amount of pieces that have to be rehabilitated, the probability of complications increases. The results obtained from the 7 dimensions of the survey have been related to gender, age and the type of prothesis (unitary implant, fixed prothesis over implant, over-denture over implant and hybrid prothesis), doing the analysis in the SPSS15 program and using the Pearson Chi square test on Crossed tables, obtaining as a result that the rehabilitated patients with implants improve their life quality regarding to oral health, without the existence of significant statistic differences concerning gender and causing more satisfaction in young patients. |
