dc.description	On April 8, 2018, the Liga Pro was inaugurated, a new entity that is responsible for regulating the Ecuadorian football championship after the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) gave it control of the Serie A and Serie B. This sudden move It is basically for two reasons. The first is due to the conflict that the FEF had with the sale of television rights and the complex events that occurred after the complaint made by Dalo Bucaram before the prosecution and before the two maximum entities that regulate world and South American football, the FIFA and Conmebol, due to the alleged inconsistencies in the contract with the Uruguayan company Gol TV. The Second, refers to the economic problems that football teams were going through due to the mismanagement of their finances. Several clubs lost points due to debts with the templates or even players who left the clubs but kept outstanding amounts to pay to them. There are other secondary reasons for the creation of the Professional Football League such as debts with the arbitration guild and even accusations of corruption cases against former FEF President Luis Chiriboga, in the FIFAgate case. One of the modifications in 2019, its first year of management, was the organization of the Ecuadorian soccer championship with 16 teams participating in Series A and 10 teams in Series B; In addition to a new format to define the champion and new rules to ensure growth in Ecuadorian football trying to avoid the debts of the clubs and giving the possibility of autonomous management to each of them in transcendental issues such as TV rights.	en
