Resumen : Objetivo general: Establecer el impacto de la actividad física sobre la Enfermedad Cerebrovascular en las personas del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito durante el año 2017…
Descripción : Objective: Determine the impact of physical activity on Stoke in the people of the Metropolitan District of Quito during 2017. Materials and methods: Retrospective cross-sectional study reviewing data from the "Health on the go" program implemented by the DMQ in 2017. The number of people with stoke and of those who conduct AF at a general level and by zonal districts was calculated. The association between the AF variable, stoke and confusing variables through Chi2 was also analyzed. Finally, the odd ratios was calculated through a multiple regression. The variables analyzed were physical activity, stoke, age, gender, BMI, tobacco, alcohol, education level and zonal districts. Results: One hundred and sixty patients presented stoke (0.28 percent) of the total sample. The zonal district 6 was the area with the highest number of cases 26 (0.05 percent). The Chi-square test determined a significant association between stoke, age (p 0.001), tobacco (p 0.003), BMI (p 0.007) and alcohol (p 0.031). Multiple regression found significant associations with risk factors for the parish variable, zonal AM 2 (CI 1,376-1,724; p 0,001), 3 (CI 1,054-1,328; p 0,001), 4 (CI 1,169-1,503; p 0,001), 9 (CI 1,105-1,459; p 0,001). Conclusions: The prevalence of stoke in this study was 0.28 percent. The area with the highest number of cases was 6 (0.05 percent), the Chi2 test determined a significant relationship between stoke with age and tobacco. Zonal districts 2, 3, 4 and 9 presented a significant risk factor in this study.
