Descripción : Tourism operators located in San Cristóbal, province of Galápagos, don’t accompany their activities with a clear concept of social responsibility or promote educational tourism activities. As a consequence of this, a disorganized and non-content tourism is developing that could affect the Islands, in general, and the businesses themselves, in particular, since corporate social responsibility is a potential that is not exploited among tourism operators. on the island of San Cristóbal. The tour operator GALAOTAV, on the other hand, seeks to offer experience and education to a target audience made up of children between 10 and 12 years old. GALAOTAV intends that children learn about social responsibility with nature and, in this way, form well-informed adults in the future that respect plants and animals. This work proposes a strategic communication plan for the GALAOTAV Tourism Operator, based in the island of San Cristóbal, in the province of Galápagos, which seeks to differentiate itself in the form of tourism while contributing to the sustainable development of the island and the province. With this objective, an exploratory-descriptive study of a qualitative and quantitative nature was carried out based on the deduction, in which educational institutions were investigated in the city of Quito (where the target audience of the communication plan is located), as well as tour operators of San Cristóbal, in particular to the operator GALAOTAV. Among the main results it was found that there are deficiencies in the communication actions of the operator studied and, at the same time, do not contribute to the consolidation of social responsibility as a differentiating element with other companies in the sector, so the proposal welcomes these inputs to improve GALAOTAV communication and contribute to sustainable development.
