| Resumen : | El objetivo de esta investigación es mostrar las regulaciones que existen en nuestro país referentes al maltrato animal en las industrias alimenticia y farmacéutica. Se busca mostrar lo que ha hecho el Estado con el fin de reducir esta problemática y de qué manera lo está haciendo. También se busca exponer las consecuencias que puede tener en la salud de una persona el consumir la carne o derivados de un animal que ha sido sometido a maltrato dentro de los centros de faenamiento. Adicionalmente, se desea indicar qué sucede con la experimentación animal en el país, sus problemáticas y alternativas. También se desea exponer lo que dicen las leyes y ordenanzas en el país. Es importante conocer lo que pasa a nuestro alrededor, por eso se ha recabado información sobre el maltrato animal en estas industrias en diferentes lugares del mundo, con el fin de comparar la información, conocer y analizar qué se puede cambiar o añadir a la ley ecuatoriana. Se han realizado entrevistas a animalistas que manifiestan los métodos alternativos que existen sobre el tema con el fin de reducir esta problemática. Por último, se busca crear conciencia, manifestando por qué es importante cuidar el bienestar de los animales, además de mostrar posibles alternativas que las personas pueden tomar en cuenta. La investigación abarca entrevistas de expertos, fotografías y declaraciones con el fin de dar una mirada neutral sobre el tema. |
| Descripción : | The objective of this research is to show regulations that exist in our country regarding animal abuse in the food and pharmaceutical industries. It seeks to show what the state has done in order to reduce this problem and in what way it is doing it. It also seeks to expose what consequences there may be on person’s health when they consume meat or animal derived products that result from animals that have been subjected to abuse within the slaughterhouses. Additionally, we want to indicate what happens with animal experimentation in the country, its problems and alternatives. This investigation also pretends to expose what laws and ordinances exist in the country regulate this problem. It is important to know what happens around us, that's why information about animal abuse in these industries has been gathered in different parts of the world, in order to compare information, know and analyze what can be changed or added to the Ecuadorian law. There have been interviews with animals’ advocates that show which alternative methods exist on the subject in order to reduce this problem. Finally, this investigation’s goal is to raise awareness, stating why it is important to take care of the welfare of the animals while showing possible alternatives people can take into account. The investigation includes experts’ interviews, photographs and statements in order to give a neutral look on the subject. |
