Descripción : | The National Immunization Strategy Program is part of one of the components of Provision of Services of the Model of Comprehensive Family, Community and Intercultural Health Care, in order to achieve vaccination coverage. This strategy is an essential component of Primary Health Care, because it reduces morbidity and mortality due to vaccine-preventable infections. Vaccination of children under 5 years old is a priority for the health sector, which is why it is intended to achieve a high and homogeneous coverage that covers between 60-80 percent per year. The objective of this study is to determine the factors associated with non-compliance with vaccine coverage in children under 5 years old at the San Juan Independencia Health Center in the Metropolitan District of Quito 17D04. Material and Method, the present work had a qualitative orientation of descriptive type, retrospective time and cross-sectional. Surveys with previous informed consents were used as an instrument. As a result of the project, we found as factors associated with the noncompliance of vaccine coverage was the poor attention by the nursing staff with 53 percent, followed by the work factor of parents or relatives with 53 percent, the lack of kindness with a 36 percent and lack of education to users about diseases that prevent vaccines with 43 percent who answered that they did not know. In conclusion, the high coverage of vaccines guarantee collective immunity favoring the equity of vaccines and avoiding diseases. What is expected from this project is to collect information, which will help me determine the factors associated with the non-compliance with the coverage of vaccines that apply to children under 5 years old at the San Juan Independencia Health Center and based on these factors, propose a plan for continuous improvement to achieve an increase and fulfillment of the coverage of vaccines aligned to the Component of Provision of Services of the Model of Integral Attention of Family, Community and Intercultural Health. |
