dc.descriptionThe following work is a business plan made for the creation of a short-distance transportation company located in Quito, with the use of electrical scooters and batteries imported from China. Within which an in-depth analysis was carried out to determine the feasibility and profitability was done. The external analysis shows that the transportation industry has more opportunities than threats, leaving favorable results for the project due to the eco-friendly products peak and the support of the implemented environmental policies. For the qualitative analysis, two interviews conducted to experts: to an entrepreneur that commercializes scooters for users’ self-use, and the road safety and traffic engineering Director of the Metropolitan Transit Agency (AMT). Also to the objective segment of the project, a focal group. On the other hand, the quantitative analysis included surveys to the final users who had an inclination to ecologic transportation. The target market to be reached is the 64,33 percent of the total population previously determined in the segmentation, being 20.290 people who care about the environment and take place inside an A, B or C+ socioeconomic level. Based on this information the marketing plan developed, establishing future strategies for the project. Afterwards an organizational structure took place in which the guidelines were established, and fundamental axes for the organization such as mission and vision constituted. Finally, a financial analysis evidenced the high viability of the project. Exposing positive financial indexes overcoming the ones from the industry, and obtaining utilities in the income statement. The inversion criteria that the project threw are a VAN of 62.647, 33, dollars TIR 45, 80 percent of, profitability index 1, 53 dollars and a recuperation period of 3, 67 years.en
