Descripción : Aim Analyze the stress zones of a customized sintered implant by means of a photoelasticity study. Introduction The use of personalized implants is a treatment that is being used more and more so you want to know their behavior against conventional implants. The objective of this study is to analyze the stress zones of a customized sintered implant by means of a photoelasticity study. In this way it can be compared with a conventional prefabricated implant. Material and methods A sample of 10 upper premolar teeth, 10 customized sintered implants and 10 conventional prefabricated implants was used, which were subjected to 3 fixed and controlled pressures, observed through a polariscope to analyze the stress distribution produced. Results statistically significant difference was found between the stress zones presented between the different samples analyzed, applying the 3 pressures. The amount of stress produced with pressure 1 (Chi-square test, p same 0.596) is different between the two types of implants as with pressure 2 (Chi-square test, p same 0.407), whereas apply pressure 3 (Levene test, p same 0.899) there is no difference in the distribution of forces between the two types of implants. Conclusions This study determined that the conventional prefabricated implant distributes and concentrates better the stress generated under different pressures compared to the customized sintered implant.
