Descripción : At present there are many myths about methods to improve athletic performance especially in children, therefore, studies in which significant improvements are evidenced will be the ideal tools to achieve this goal. It will also allow therapists, physical educators, and cycling schools, among others, to know how to choose the best method to strengthen the performance of the athlete during the test. Therefore, this research aims to compare the effect of sports massage vs. dynamic stretching in a fast lap in mountain biking. In the same way the time it takes to perform the test, the maximum speed and the heart rate. Objective: To analyze the comparison of the effect of sports massage vs. dynamic stretches in a rapid mountain biking round in children from 8 to 10 years old, with the aim of identifying which of the two physiotherapeutic interventions is more effective in reducing the time of a lap In addition, variables such as maximum speed and heart rate are monitored. Materials and methods: In this study a total of 8 infants who practice the sport of mountain biking were recruited. Children have more than one year of experience in sports. Being a case - control study, the same participants underwent both sports massage and dynamic stretching procedures. For the collection of data, the Polar M400 frequency clock was used to measure the infants maximum speed and heart rate during the fast lap. In addition, a Casio, Model Hs-3, Sports timer was used to measure the time in which it was used. Delay the athlete when running the test. Likewise, the post-treatment measurements were taken again quantifying the results at the end of the study. The treatment was performed in a time of 4 weeks with a total of 4 sessions. The data collection was one week before the treatment and the last measurement at the end of both the sports massage and the dynamic stretch. Results: Significant differences were found in the relationship between sports massage vs. dynamic stretching with the variables of maximum speed and total time. Demonstrating that the dynamic stretches prior to the fast turn significantly improve the total time p same, 00001, and the maximum speed p same, 00148. Regarding the heart rate there were no significant changes p same, 06150, with no intervention. Conclusion: The dynamic stretch against sports massage shows greater effectiveness; in the results obtained in the maximum speed and total time as a method to improve the fast turn in mountain biking.
