dc.description | The design and construction of a prototype of Airlif was carried out with a diameter of 75 mm and 2 m length. For the evaluation of the prototype, seven different submerged heights (60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110 and 120 cm) of water were tested, with five air flows (130, 160, 210, 250 and 300) LN-min. Where was determined the production of water flow generated by the Airlift after lifting the liquid 2 m. In addition, the suction limits of the system were determined by verifying its capacity to lift 4 different granulometries of sand, with each of the submerged heights and different airflows. Parameters were determined theoretically, such as water speed, bubble speed, mix speed, mix density, friction losses and system efficiency with each of the cases studied. In general, it was possible to conclude that the higher the submerged water height and the higher air flow, the higher values were presented in the flow of water produced, the speed of the mixture, the efficiency of the system and a greater capacity in the suction of different granulometries of sand. The submerged height of 120 cm, with an air flow rate of 300 LN - min, presented the widest limits in the suction of sand, with a maximum granulometry of suction of 0.5 to 0.6 mm. In addition, it produced the greatest amount of water flow after lifting the liquid 2 m with a value of 1.7 L-s. | en |
