| Resumen : | El Eje Avenida 10 de Agosto, fue en sus inicios, una de las primeras rutas que permitieron el crecimiento de la ciudad desde el Centro Histórico. En la actualidad, es una de las vías más transitadas de la ciudad, a pesar de encontrarse deteriorada y presentar una baja calidad urbana. Sumado a esto, se encuentra la baja en la tasa poblacional de la zona, la degradación de la imagen urbana y calidad de vida de los habitantes. Esto se debe a que el territorio ha sido afectado por desequilibrios espaciales que devienen de intensos procesos de movilidad poblacional interna y externa que ha experimentado la ciudad desde hace varias décadas. El Taller de noveno semestre de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño de la Universidad de las Américas se propuso realizar un Plan Maestro con visión al año 2040 en el cual se propuso cambiar la realidad de este Eje de gran importancia para la ciudad. Esto se dio principalmente mediante la estrategia de un sistema integral de equipamientos como proyectos estructurantes de ciudad y ciudadanía. El equipamiento que se llevó a cabo en este trabajo de titulación es un Centro Gastronómico y Vivienda, ubicado en el Barrio Rumipamba. La investigación teórica, se centró en el estudio etnográfico de la gastronomía de la región Andina. Esto permitió un entendimiento de las necesidades de esta práctica a nivel local y de esta manera, se pudo encontrar la vocación de este equipamiento como un centro dedicado a la investigación de la gastronomía andina en favor de la recuperación de valores y saberes ancestrales. El proyecto arquitectónico busca solventar las necesidades y aprovechar las posibilidades que el lugar brinda. Se enfoca en devolverle la importancia al peatón a través de la generación de espacio público y el entendimiento de la escala peatonal. Además, generar visuales hacia el paisaje montañoso que circunda a la ciudad de Quito y también, proponer un modelo de edificación de uso mixto, que incluya vivienda con la intención aportar a la generación de nuevas residencias de calidad y el aprovechamiento óptimo del uso del suelo y la capacidad edificatoria. |
| Descripción : | The Avenue 10 de Agosto was in its beginnings, one of the first routes that allowed the growth of the city from the Historic Center. At present, it is one of the busiest roads in the city, despite being deteriorated and presenting a low urban quality. Added to this, is the decline in the population rate of the area, the degradation of the urban image and quality of life of the inhabitants. This is because the territory has been affected by spatial imbalances that result from intense processes of internal and external population mobility that the city has experienced for several decades. The ninth semester workshop of the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the University of the Americas was proposed to make a Master Plan with vision to the year 2040 in which it was proposed to change the reality of this axis of great importance for the city. This was mainly due to the strategy of an integral system of facilities such as structuring projects of city and citizenship. The equipment that was carried out in this titling work is a Gastronomic Center and Housing, located in the Rumipamba neighborhood. The theoretical research focused on the ethnographic study of the gastronomy of the Andean region. This allowed an understanding of the needs of this practice at a local level and in this way, the vocation of this equipment could be found as a center dedicated to the investigation of Andean gastronomy in favor of the recovery of ancestral values and knowledge. The architectural project seeks to solve the needs and take advantage of the possibilities that the place offers. It focuses on restoring importance to the pedestrian through the generation of public space and the understanding of the pedestrian scale. In addition, generate visuals towards the mountainous landscape that surrounds the city of Quito and also, propose a model of mixed-use construction, including housing with the intention of contributing to the generation of new residences of quality and the optimal use of land use and the building capacity. |
