Descripción : The main objective of this dissertation is to design a model that allows to better logistic processes within the Retail industry considering that in some cases these companies are created with experimental procedures that develop inasmuch as the events happen. In order to accomplish with the mentioned above, an analysis of these companies is performed along with the current situation in Ecuador involving historical and statistical data because these organizations are the major drivers for employment, job creation and economic growth in the country. Afterwards, talking more about the issue in this industry, an analysis will be carried out to understand the current situation with a domestic and an overseas company specialized in retailing, describing its logistics process when distributing products and the technology that has been implemented in these organizations to ease procedures. In order to develop the model, the standard processes related to logistics were taken from the reference model for supply chains called SCOR and on the other hand the Internet of Things (IoT), which allows automating the processes identified with the previous model and to monitor each of these in real time for timely decision making. Both are part of the model called SCOR+IoT which is formed by stages, Project deliverables, and managers in order to have an integral transversal operation within the Retail companies. Finally, we proceed with the implementation of the model posed with one company situated in the province of Esmeraldas that presents many problems in each of its lines of business, problems that will be solved with the new model developed in this dissertation.
