dc.description | One of the biggest problems of livestock production in Ecuador is high feed costs due to lack of local production of soybeans and corn so the country has to import these products almost entirely. Here in Ecuador the use of food products is not exploited so often wasted waste good food can help farm animals, this being the case of waste from the brewing industry which uses in its most malted barley which has a lot of carbohydrates which is one of the main sources that provide energy. One of the productions of herbivorous animals that is gaining momentum is the guinea pigs (guinea pigs), which not long ago was well known and consumed only at national level and in different parts of the country but with the migration of people Ecuadorians has been gaining strength internationally and has been learning and giving way in different countries such as Spain and USA. The use of brewing industry byproducts together with alfalfa would help reduce costs in feeding guinea pigs thus could develop agreements between the enterprise and micro producers of this species… | en |
