| dc.description | The present project is a set of academic and professional experiences gathered throughout the musical work of the artist in question “CP”. The song “Rhythm of the Soul” is a sample of the different genres that influenced the artist, from Rhythm and Blues, Rock, Indie Rock. This is how he began his career in music production hoping to obtain the desired results. The technical and musical process used in this production has been oriented to satisfy the requirements of the author to achieve a sound with particularly Anglo-speaking characteristics. According to the blog chartsEcuador at may 2017, from 25 Ecuadorian artists most of the production is focused on covering a demand for Latin pop songs in Spanish and another part also oriented to tropical music. These two genres cover the most of the Ecuadorian music market and to a lesser extent are songs in another language such as English. (chartsEcuador, 2017) This musical project tries to cover a part of that market for people who enjoy music in English in the genre of pop rock. Likewise, the project seeks to capture the sound of Anglo music, using the appropriate techniques of musical production in US production projects. | en |
