Descripción : This study deals with the implementation of Good Livestock Practices for Milk Production (BPPL). The farm "La Cantera", located in the Canton of Sigchos in the parish of La Cantera in the province of Cotopaxi, was chosen. In this farm, a situational diagnosis of the nutritional, sanitary, reproductive and milk quality conditions were made. For this blood and milk samples were taken from the animals, as well as soil and water samples. The percentage of initial BPPL compliance was evaluated on the farm, which identified the property weaknesses. The initial compliance rate of the BPPL Guide was 49.5% and once the plan was implemented, the final compliance with the Guide was 86.7%. This represents an increase of 37.2%. Regarding milk quality, milk composition tests and somatic cell counts were performed in the Agrocalidad milk quality laboratory. The percentage of protein was increased by 5%. The fat percentage was increased by 35.28%. The percentage of total solids increased 53, 10%, which better illustrates the changes in the farm. The percentage of somatic cells decreased by 75.39%, which is also a positive indicator. The percentage of bacterial counts was decreased by 23% after implementation of the BPPL, so that milk quality was improved. The sanitary and reproductive status of the animals was also evaluated, for which blood samples were taken and stool samples were taken for the study. Water, soil and grass were also evaluated. According to the results obtained there are no reproductive diseases.
