Descripción : The inclination of the author for dance and music, led to choose the House of Dance as the theme of the thesis. lnspired by the challenge of completing her studies with a demanding and complex final work, she embarked in a project that applies what was learned in the classroom and also make a statement about the need to promote the practice of dance, by creating centers with the appropriate technology. National dance institutions of practical and academic teaching where investigated. The Ballet Ecuatoriano de Cámara BEC was selected for being the most representative and with the most projection in our area. BEC´s infrastructure has grown as a result of increased demand for the service but the facilities still remain insufficient to meet the students and professional dancer´s requirements. The BEC also lacks other requirements that could be well implemented, using the resources of the interior architecture oriented to this activity. Global dance institutions with characteristics of unquestionable prestige and recognition were also investigated. From this research, functional and aesthetic characteristics of interior design were taken in order to be applied to the House of Dance, combining them with aspects arising from the proper perspective and creativity of the author. The proposal focuses on four major dance classes, Tropical, Urban, Hall or Classic and Folk, and an auditorium like Magnum Class that also fulfills the functions of a public performance stage. In fact the administrative, academic, social and fitness areas have been reformulated for their proper functioning. The final objective is to create the House of Dance from the current BEC facilities, designing a space that functionally and aesthetically meet international standards for the practice and teaching of professional dance.
