| dc.description | Molar incisor hipomineralization is a relatively new disease and an increasing prevalence, which you do not have many studies having gaps in relation to etiology and classification of the disease as well as a lot of treatments that can be performed depending on the stage of the disease, so dentists having no knowledge about this disease have difficulty in making a diagnosis and appropriate treatment for each patient, which is why this study has as its main objective: Establish the indicated treatments by dentists for different stages of molar incisor hypomineralization in children aged 6 to 12 years old. This study was conducted in two stages, first a photographic search for different cases of MIH was held in the community of Iluman located 15 minutes from Otavalo, were collected the best photos of the various cases found in children aged 6 to 12 years, then they survey 75 professionals including 25 pediatric dentists, 25 rural dentists, 25 general practitioners, who accepted assess knowledge about the diagnosis and treatment of IMH were made. As for the results found that most dentists chose the restoration with resin as the treatment of choice in cases of MIH also that dentists perform appropriate treatment according to the degree of MIH. As conclusions is obtained that rural dentists get more success than pediatric dentists and general without being significant. | en |
