| Descripción : | The goal of this research is to determine the application of Environmental Goods and Services as tools for the conservation of the natural resources in Ecuador. The subjects raised throughout the investigation provide a wide panorama of the natural resources, renewable and non-renewable found in the country; and the environmental damages caused by the improper practices in the exploitation and use of natural resources. The analysis of the Constitution of the Republic, the principal International Legal Documents and the legislation itself in this matter, was conducted in a detailed and meticulous manner, allowing one to understand and determine the applicability of the current legal regulations and also the changes that should take place for its effective and efficient performance; in addition to the proceedings and sanctions established due to the damages done to nature. Likewise, the principal private legal tools for the conservation of nature and their applicability in the country were analyzed. |
