Descripción : The objective of the business plan is to determine the viability of creating a Drive-In Movie Theater in Quito city. A Drive-In Movie Theater consists in film screening outdoors to watch it from a car. The film screening in theaters or outdoors owns to the communications industry, which shows an average growth of 7,28% over the past five years. The contribution of this industry to the non-oil GDP is 2,57%. The market research was conducted using focus groups, interviews to experts and surveys. Of which, identifies that the Drive-In Movie Theater will get an introduction to the market with an 84,5% of people who would be willing to attend a Drive-In Movie Theater and they have a way to do so (the have a car). Moreover, the Drive-In Movie Theater represents a new alternative of entertainment. En Ruedas (On Wheels) Drive-In Movie Theater will be introduced to the market with a leadership strategy focused on low price-high value and offering an integrated service at lower prices than the competition. The company will be located to the North of Quito city (Carcelén area) and the staff will be formed by 10 people. The integrated service will include 2D and 3D film screenings and a bar with snacks to be consumed during the movie and delivered by the waiters using the Drive-In Service. Additionally, the company will offer advertising space on the big screen. The initial investment for the project will be USD 226.948,79, which includes fix assets, intangible assets and capital labor. This amount will be funded with a 29% leverage and 71% equity. The financial results projection are made within 5 years under 3 scenarios: optimistic, pessimist, and due, from which is expected to get a positive NPV and a rate of return higher than opportunity cost. Furthermore, the expected scenario got USD 104.957,65 NPV and a 24% IRR. The company reaches the equilibrium point at the eleventh month from its opening and offers a 30% rate of return for the investor. In conclusion, the business is profitable and its implementation is recommended.
