Following the appointment of Quito, as the first city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978, It was the exceptional mastery of the watercolor Muñoz Mariño, which induced to the UNESCO to suggest him to paint the cities declared Cultural Patrimony of Humanity by this institution. Therefore, having a permanent exhibition space for the extremely rich collection of watercolors, drawings and inks that this artist has produced for more than eight decades of life, is a real contribution to the capital. In addition to spread the work of the artist, the museum offers a school of watercolor and drawing for young people of the sector in particular and the city in general. At the same time promotes the diffusion of the work from local and international artists that manage these techniques, which is included in the general purpose of the revaluation from the urban landscape. The Museum of Watercolor and Drawing Muñoz Mariño is conceived as a dynamic museum space that promotes interaction of the exhibition areas with the attending public, therefore its museum proposal seeks to promote this dialogue through exhibitions permanent and temporary. Although all the benefits offered by the Museum of Watercolor and Drawing Muñoz Mariño and the prestige enjoyed by the Master Watercolorist national and international, the research carried out by surveys and opinion polls showed that a large percentage of people who do not know the existence of the Museum of Watercolor and Drawing Muñoz Mariño. Certainly we noted the absence of information from the museum in the people. Therefore we proceeded to perform a Corporate Communication Plan, designed to solve the problems of the poor image of the Museum of Watercolor and Drawing Muñoz Mariño, through communication strategies and appropriate Public Relations.
