Descripción : This thesis aims thorough research about the ancient Indian medicine and traditional knowledge. The subject of an overall approach to visualizing the historical, anthropological, social and cultural context, that have been part of the historical legacies that live in our country. The indigenous traditional medicine is considered by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a form of prevention and cure of diseases, aspects that will be exposed through this work. It also identifies each ancestral indigenous practices and differences that each one of them when you run it. The instruments used, clothing and medical application in person, since research also conducted in the provinces of the Amazon, Costa and Sierra. Expert opinion on the subject was collected, who explain from their point of view the conception of the disease in indigenous communities. In addition, testimonials from people who have been healed through these practices and perceptions about indigenous medicine was performed. Supported by a type of qualitative research and field method, hand journalism, one can understand the Indian traditional medicine as a communications option, which will be advertised through a number of products offered in broadcast quality in different media: radio, print, television and web media platform, followed by theoretical support. In addition to providing a social and cultural journalistic research about traditional medicine and traditional knowledge, as a way to recover the culture and the importance of being part of a collective identity that does not lose its roots despite living in the XXI century.
