Resumen : The main objective of this research is to determine the feasibility of exploiting ecotourism services in the Manabí beaches for United States market. The target market was analyzed by its preferences throughout surveys conducted by the Ministerio de Turismo del Ecuador to tourists that visited Ecuador. Additional information was gathered through American and worldwide agencies on the web. Afterwards the Manabí ecotourism service was compared against its most relevant competitors such as Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru and Mexico. As a result it was concluded that the Manabí beaches have the demanded features by the U.S. customer but due to the lack of diffusion these are not known internationally.
