| Descripción : | The "Destination of uncontacted indigenous communities in Ecuador, with the decision of president to exploit the oil reserves of the Yasuni National Park," has become a vital issue after issue of Executive Decree N.74, from August 15 in 2013, by which the economist Rafael Correa Delgado, Constitutional President of the Republic of Ecuador, ask that, after the analysis of the Board Yasuní-ITT Trust, make the appropriate arrangements to finalize that Trust; prepare reports "on the environmental viability, technical, financial and constitutional development of the oil fields in Yasuni National Park, for the purpose of reasonably ask the National Assembly to authorize oil drilling in Yasuni National Park" (Decree Executive N.74, from August 15, 2013). At the request of the National Assembly of Ecuador Chief State emphasizes that the exploitation of oil fields affect less than one thousandth of the Yasuni National Park, which has a total of over one million hectares, declared in 1989 by UNESCO global reserve of biosphere and place inhabited by uncontacted tribes, Tagaeri and Taromenane. |
