| dc.description | There is a pre Incan archaeological cultural heritage in the valley of Pomasqui, La Pampa and San Antonio de Pichincha, which is currently under neglect and therefore in danger of disappearing mainly because of human activities such as agriculture, mining and informal construction. The most relevant archaeological heritage in this valley is located in mount Catequilla, this importance lies in its proximity to the equator line and for being an strategic point for terrestrial and astronomical observation, unique in the world. This is why the Eje Articulador Catequilla within the Sacred and Archaeological sites is developed. This project aims to link the user and raise public awareness about this cultural heritage that has gone unnoticed, to tell the world where the real middle of the world is, to educate about the story behind this heritage, to experience phenomena such as solstices or equinoxes, to rescue own traditions and ancient rituals of this area, scientific research, conservation and documentation of this heritage. The project is located on the top of mount Catequilla, on the equator line, respecting the area where the archaeological site is located and has a program that covers administrative areas, research areas, education and awareness areas like museums, stay and contemplation areas public squares and meditation zones and exhibition areas exhibition rooms and auditorium. This project adapts to the topography of the terrain by creating buried spaces and semi burried spaces and takes into account the 360 grades visibility from this place. The volumetry revolves around the landmark for latitude 0, its located over or adjacent to the axes that mark solstices and equinocces. This way the architecture becomes an element that marks sunrises and sunset during these times of the year. To complement and articulate the project, public squares and contemplation areas are created so that the visitor may experience the site or perform ancient rituals or concentrations during special times such as Inti Raymi. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | En la zona de Pomasqui, La Pampa y principalmente San Antonio de Pichincha, existe un patrimonio cultural arqueológico preinca que se esparce en este valle, el cual se encuentra en descuido y por ende en peligro de desaparecer debido a las actividades humanas en aspectos como la agricultura, la minería y la construcción informal El sitio patrimonial de mayor relevancia dentro de este valle corresponde al sitio de Catequilla, esta importancia radica en su proximidad a la línea equinoccial y por ser un punto estratégico de observación terrestre y astronómica único en el mundo. Por estas razones se desarrolla el Eje Articulador Catequilla dentro de la Red de sitios Sagrados y Arqueológicos. Este proyecto tiene como finalidad vincular y concienciar a la sociedad sobre este patrimonio ancestral que ha pasado casi desapercibido, dar a conocer al mundo la verdadera mitad del mundo, educar sobre la historia detrás de este patrimonio, experimentar los fenómenos que se viven en este lugar como solsticios o equinoccios, rescatar tradiciones y rituales antiguos propias de la zona, la investigación, conservación y documentación de este patrimonio. La propuesta se ubica en el monte con el mismo nombre, sobre la línea equinoccial respetando la zona donde se ubica el sitio arqueológico y comprende un programa que abarca espacios administrativos, espacios de investigación, de educación y concienciación como; museos, espacios de estancia y contemplación (plazas y zonas de meditación) y espacios de exhibición exposiciones y auditorio. El proyecto se acopla a la topografía generando espacios enterrados, espacios semi enterrados, toma en cuenta la visibilidad de 360 grados desde el lugar y la volumetría gira en torno al hito que marca la latitud 0, se ubica en o adyacente a los ejes que marcan los solsticios o equinoccios, de manera que la arquitectura se convierta en un elemento que marque los nacimientos del sol en estas épocas del año. Para complementar y articular estos espacios se generan plazas y espacios de contemplación de manera que el usuario pueda experimentar con mayor profundidad el sitio o realizar rituales ancestrales y concentraciones durante fechas como el Inti Raymi. | es_ES |
