Resumen : El presente trabajo es explora diferentes de técnicas de caracterización de absorción acústica de materiales por medio del uso de un tubo de Kundt y mediciones in situ ToneBurst…
Descripción : The present work is an exploration of techniques for measuring acoustic parameters of materials using Kundt is tube and in situ measurements (Tone Burst). We have also developed an experimental methodology and software for the acquisition and processing of information. First, it has been carried a compilation of the theoretical basis of the different techniques such as: measuring method of absorption based on the standing wave method, measuring absorption using a Kundt is tube with two microphones and transfer functions, method of measurement of absorption and sound transmission on a Kundt tube using 4 microphones and methods of in situ measurements. Following this, an implementation of the most representative methods was performed, a Kundt is tube has been designed and constructed, which is useful to meet the requirements of the measurement by 2 and 4 microphones. Two materials made of fiber glass were measured on the tube and then they were compared with the data provided by the manufacturer, the results were very similar to certain frequencies such as 1000 Hz in which the difference between the result presented by the manufacturer and the one obtained on the tube was less than 3/10. For the in situ method, a measurement of a porous acoustic material was made, finding that the results, from 1000 Hz, measured were very similar with the data given by the manufacturer, showing minor differences due to the nature of the measurement technique, because the manufacturer is data was obtained by the method described on the ISO-354.
