| dc.description | People with different hearing abilities are difficult to access the regular education system because they do not have specialist teachers and their poor access to oral language, students with hearing impairment into the system in conditions of great disadvantage compared to the listeners. In general, acoustic handicapped children attending special schools and the Foundation “La Voz del Silencio”, and are given the tools to access communication then the formal educational system. In this thesis shows how the integrated design helps develop students' academic hard of hearing, the Foundation “La Voz del Silencio” The main objective of this research is the development of an artwork - learning which will facilitate the task of the teacher and improve the cognitive ability of students, developing skills and improving their sensory motor activity. The thesis is divided into six chapters, each focused as follows: Chapter 1 sets the foundation of special education for hearing impaired “La Voz del Silencio”, legal status, objectives, vision, mission and methodology of oral teaching. Chapter 2 discusses the problems of deaf-mutism, its history, causes, conditions and procedures used against this symptom. Chapter 3 focuses on the investigation of integral design techniques that enable the creation of the proposed teaching assistant. Chapter 4 uses methodological issues that diagnose the current situation, determine the parameters and define the population affected by the problem. Chapter 5 presents and analyzes new materials for the Foundation “La Voz del Silencio” which facilitates the learning of reading and writing. Chapter 6 presents an overview of the various proposed techniques and the most relevant results obtained in the thesis. | en |
