Descripción : | This study aimed to compare the level of apical leakage of root canal sealer cements based on calcium hydroxide (Sealpex) with hydrophilicity based sealant resin (EndoREZ) cement The sample was 48 uniradiculares teeth extracted for prosthetic, orthodontic and periodontal reasons. The canals were instrumented with step-back technique and obturated with gutta-percha with lateral condensation technique. Group A sealant-based calcium hydroxide Sealapex (Sybron Kerr) cement. In Group B based sealer cement hydrophilic resin (Ultradent). To observe the apical tip microfiltration staining was performed with methylene blue for 72 hours. The teeth were cut longitudinally to observe the apical portion at the optical microscope, and assessing the amount of dye that entry into the conduit. In both groups apical microfiltration was shown. Group A had an average micro filtration 2205.233333 um 2199,166667um while the B group. So it can be concluded that there was no statistically significant difference. |
