The accelerated population growth experienced in recent times is accompanied by excessive use of elements such as: PET plastics for the food industry and rubber in the case of tires for the automotive field; turning this aspect into a global environmental problem. Its management and disposal is inefficient compared to its generation, so it is essential that new recycling or application techniques be applied in various fields. The construction being one of the main fields of interest, which is why through this study we seek to produce composite materials from polyester resin matrix, reinforced with recycled PET particles and recycled rubber particles, establishing various mixtures and with a characterization physical-mechanical The formation of composite materials (sheets) was carried out in molds without cover by means of mixtures of polyester resin, reinforced with recycled PET particles and recycled rubber particles, maintaining a fixed percentage of resin and using different proportions of the reinforcement materials. To achieve this, fractionation was carried out by means of a specialized cutting tool to obtain test specimens that can be analyzed to determine the optimal mixture, at laboratory scale, at the Tungurahua metalworking and bodybuilding production center under the standards of the standards: ASTM D3039-17 (traction), ASTM D7264-15 (flex) and ASTM D6110-18 (impact). Based on the aforementioned, favorable results were obtained as a coating material compared to imported plaster material in terms of traction and impact; whereas, in the case of flexion only one parameter is not superior to the comparative one. It was concluded that the incorporation of reinforcement materials such as PET and rubber to a polyester matrix, provides properties that make it suitable for use as a coating material in construction and design; providing a new application to this kind of waste and expanding the research field.en
