Descripción : In life, what seems like an end is actually the beginning of everything. If the legend of Cantuña did not have the end that we all know?. The triumph of good against evil. What if the end actually resembles real life much more? Where endings are not always fair and good does not always triumph over evil. This project is based on the creation of a sequel to the legend of Cantuña. The devil does not lose. Cantuña is not saved from going to hell. He has his own hell on earth, as the elders say: "hell is right here on this earth!”. Little by little this second part is taking shades of terror. With characters from other Quito legends and incorporating new stages to stories already told and known to all. Based on culture of Quito. The beliefs and problems of citizens of that time. This sequel takes an unexpected turn, thus capturing new situations that cross the protagonists of the legend. Cantuña and the devil meet again to sign a second pact. This again faces good and evil. It attempts to recreate the social inequality and racism of the time, which still persists today. This conceptual structured base serves as support to create a short film in which, through the fictional sequel of Cantuña. It is proposed to capture culture of Quito and history. As well as its customs, religiosity, characters, traditions, in an attempt to rescue the culture in the new generations, subtly abstracting the magic of the legend and placing the audience in a more real and terrifying satge The planning and organization of this project will allow the short film to be made in a satisfactory manner and thus optimize resources.
