dc.descriptionThe main objective of this study was to know the cellular characteristics of Transmissible Venereal Tumor (TVT) of the cases diagnosed as positive in a veterinary laboratory of histopathological studied in the years 2016-2017, also, relate the presentation phenotype of this neoplasm with the variables age, bread and sex. For the development of this retrospective type of research, first, it was made a research from the physical and virtual databases of the laboratory were carried out; this search includes the diagnostic reports and its correspondent cytopathological study sample. After the search, the inclusion criteria of the study were applied to perform the review of the well-preserved samples and extract information about the variables of the patients. With these, the morphological characteristics and criteria of malignancy of the tumor were reviewed, registered and related with the previously described variables. The results have shown that the most affected individual are mix breed males, ages 4-7 years old, the most common phenotype is plasmocytoid, and it does not exist a significant relation between the clinical features ant the morphological types of TVT.en
